Hope Restoration Ministries

Restoring Hope to the Broken, One Life at a Time

How We Serve

Hope Empowerment Center is our transitional housing program. This program assists homeless young women by providing them with affordable housing, case management, counseling, employment needs, education resources and independent living skills.  Our services are dedicated to encouraging each young lady to succeed and reach their fullest potential in life.  Our staff and volunteers work together to reach out to young women who need it the most.

How We Can Extend HOPE?

Research has highlighted key areas that must be addressed in order to increase the positive outcomes for youth who age out of the foster care system: education, training, housing options and continued mental and physical health care.

Using a holistic approach, HRM staff and volunteers have numerous areas of intervention for this group and can deliver programs on many levels.  Collaborative relationships with secondary and post-secondary educators, health care providers, career counselors, juvenile justice, child and family services, and other community partners will enhance effective programming for these youth.

Our Transitional Housing Program is a proven intervention that will extend HOPE to these youth.

Other Programs We Offer:

The Hope Closet

This program was designed to assist those who are transitioning into the workforce. Often times after leaving the foster care system they don't have nice clothes to wear to job interviews or may have to purchase uniforms, etc. and this program pays for the clothing for interviews and uniforms for school and work.

Street Outreach Program

Hope Restoration Ministries conducts outreach efforts to assist homeless youth ages 16-21 who are in crisis.  The Outreach Team provides mentoring, counseling, help finding a job or getting into school, assistance and education for pregnant teens, help with obtaining a driver's license or permit, as well as referrals to other social service organizations.  Our Outreach Team provides youth with a trusting atmosphere so that the adolescents will know they can receive these services without questions or being judged.  The Street Outreach Team focuses on building rapport and trust with youth.  The Street Outreach Team consists of trained volunteers who are willing to make a sacrifice and serve the community with an open, loving heart.

Aftercare Program

Hope Restoration Ministries is concerned about the progress and well-being of our participants after they leave our program.  It is for that reason that we have set up an aftercare program for our participants after they have transitioned into independent living.  After each participant completes the program, we will continue to make our services available to them for a period of 6 months.  During this period, post-participants may contact us for assistance with needs such gas money, rental payments, transportation, bus fare, etc.

Safe Place Site

We are a Safe Place Site for at-risk or runaway youth in conjunction with The Oasis Center.  Youth who are in crisis may come to our location and the Hope Restoration Ministries staff will ensure they are in a safe location.  We then contact the Safe Place coordinator at The Oasis Center to pick up the youth from our office.  We are pleased to be able to help youth who may be going through a tough time and need to feel safe.  We also post and publish our phone number on our Safe Place Signs so youth can call to receive immediate help.
